42 Years of fly fishing camaraderie!
The Indianapolis Fly Casters (IFC) was founded in 1968. The IFC is made up of men who share a common interest in the wonderful sport of fly fishing. Monthly dinner meetings with outstanding speakers and excellent fishing programs are always spiced with the cheerful conversation and fellowship of friendly fishermen. Fly tying instruction, casting programs, conservation projects, fishing outings, etc. are typical club activities. A monthly publication, the Armchair Angler, serves as a newsletter and informs our members of upcoming activities, fly patterns, fishing stories, hot tips, etc. Governed by a board of directors, we regularly assist with kids fishing days, river clean-up projects, river water quality monitoring, fish stockings, and other community activities.
The purpose of the Indianapolis Fly Casters club:
Monthly meetings at Saenger Chor Club 1824 W 15th, Indy, 7 pm, 2nd Wednesday night of each month

The Indianapolis Flycasters are very excited and proud to be actively involved with war veterens participating in the Healing Waters program. Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc.SM, initiated and conducted by members of the Federation of Fly Fishers and Trout Unlimited, serves military personnel who have been wounded, injured, or disabled to aid their physical and emotional recovery by introducing or rebuilding the skills of fly fishing and fly tying and by using and enjoying these skills on fishing outings and as lifelong recreation.
